This coffee boasts a sweet complex aroma with a full body and vibrant acidity. We recommend a medium roast to bring out the notes of chestnut, cranberry and burnt sugar in this coffee. The flavours are a result of the high altitude combined with rich volcanic soil.

In a dark roast, Costa Rican beans will develop a bittersweet chocolatey flavour and a tart finish. Because these beans are grown in a dense arrangement on the side of a mountain traditionally, they have more time to develop deep and rich flavour.

Recommended Roast: Light or Medium Roast
